What are you doing now:
I have been fully retired since June 2016.
Following my assignment to the Navy Fleet Reserve in 1992 I finished my higher education up through Master's Degree. Doing so paid off as I had a very rewarding, challenging and enjoyable well-worth-it civilian career. While attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University I completed a Bachelor in Science Professional Aeronautics and a Master in Aeronautical Science with dual Specializations in Operations and Management. Prior to Fleet Reserve and earlier in my Navy Career I completed an Associate in Arts at College of Alameda (Peralta Community College District).
While completing my Master's Degree, I worked for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as an Assistant Center Director and later I became the Alameda Extended Campus Resident Center Director. When Alameda Naval Air Station completely shut down for military activity, I moved the Extended Campus Center to its current location at the Oakland Airport Business Park.
In 1998, I went to work for San Francisco International Airport (SFO) as an Airport Management Intern, and later as a Senior Management Assistant, Airport Security Manager and Airport Security Coordinator. What great jobs!
After work at SFO in 2005, I went to work at the Port of Oakland for the Oakland International Airport (OAK) as Aviation Security Superintendent and Airport Security Coordinator.
In 2010, I got the chance and opportunity of a lifetime to relocate to Little Rock, Arkansas -- this put me very close to my beloved Sportsman's Paradise -- Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The opportunity to work at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT) as Manager -- Security and Operations was a true blessing. It meant I could stop counting that I would see my mom only twice each year before she got her wings. Instead of twice a year I got in twice a month from this location.
I currently live in Cabot, Arkansas with my wife Charlotte and our two Yorkie fur balls -- August (Auggie) and Beaux.
Enjoying life, having fun playing chess.
