TWS Is by far the best website I've ever been involved with. I'm sure many of you feel the same. With the personal profiles and numerous tales told on these pages, TWS serves as an ongoing military archive.
I found several guys I was stationed with but had lost contact with over the years. We have even got together in the past few months. Great site....that's why I became a lifetime member.
I spent a lot of money subscribing to any web search site I could find, cold calling hundreds of people, I found several people using this method, however, I was invited to this site and within minutes was reconnected to a shipmate I was looking for, Imagine searching all of US for a Robert Harris. To say the least, it was frustrating, Thank You so much for this site.
I have reconnected with half my buddies from Kami Seya Japan (81-84). Including my best friend Sandra..It feels like we've never been apart...Thks NTWS!
That's how I describe this website.......I have connected with shipmates from all the way back in bootcamp until the most recent....Its great to catchup.
Just about everyone who was a Plankowner aboard USS Higgins is on here. I attribute this to the fact that it was such an outstanding command that we have actively seeked a way to find each other and TWS has provided us a home for that. So thank you to TWS for being a place to reunite shipmates.
People here have helped me to find information about my Dad's service years. It helped to start his remembrance profile. I was actually able to get copies of his discharge paperwork. Believe me there was a wealth of information on that document. Thanks to the founders and admin staff for an outstanding website.
I hope I am not stealing his thunder, but this is too cool not to share: I got a TWS message from a shipmate that I served with in Kuwait. He told me that his son, who is on active duty found him through this site and contacted him after many years of not being in touch!! How cool is that?
It's amazing, I have found people from Boot Camp, Cecil Field, Pax River, Dallas, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Miramar. I've found people I forgot all about. Whoever came up with this site idea will have a special place in Heaven for bringing so much joy into our lives. AWESOME!

I'm getting together tomorrow night with an old shipmate I reconnected with on TWS. I haven't seen the guy in almost 10 years. The last time I saw him he was an OS1 and I was an RM3. Now he's an OSCS and I'm an IT1. Where does the time go? Thanks TWS!
I found three shipmates from when I was an RMSA 41 years ago. This site is the greatest. Every day I find another shipmate. I use this site daily. Thanks Shipmates for a great site to contact old shipmates and remember times that have long ago gone.
